Hi! I’m Bridget!
I am the creator of this passion project called Root to Bloom. My work is shaped by a blend of professional experience, training, and a lived understanding. I worked in special education for over 5 years before turning to community mental health. I am currently working towards completing courses to receive certification as a clinical herbalist. I also love making pottery, spending time outdoors and cuddling up with my two sweet kitties.
As a neurodivergent and medically complex person myself, my approach to wellness is deeply informed by my own journey of learning to regulate my nervous system, unlearn chronic masking and people pleasing, and reconnect with my body through a combination of mental health coaching, education and natural healing practices.
I spent a lot of my childhood and young adulthood feeling like I needed to conform and fit molds that were not suited for me, causing a deep burnout, hormonal chaos, and even an autoimmune disorder… I was miserable, constantly inflamed, anxious, and I felt awful. All this to say… I get it and I am here to help.
My approach to wellness is threefold (mind, body, and spirit) and am a true believer that we are all so deserving of feeling good in our bodies, in our minds and in our souls.
My goal is to offer care that is gentle, grounded and affirming especially for those who have spent much of their lives pushing through overwhelm or feeling misunderstood. I want to create a space where you can slow down, build self-trust, and create a toolkit of wellness practices (nutrition, herbs, supplements, movement) that helps you feel more balanced in your day to day.
If you are read this far - thank you! I am so happy you’re here! :)
